With nine year’s experience implementing clinical documentation systems, Danielle understands the challenges of designing documentation that fits into clinical workflow, meets the demands of regulatory agencies, reinforces facility specific process improvement initiatives and enhances clinical decision making through a standardized display of data in the electronic medical record.

Danielle’s experience working as an RN in a variety of clinical settings, from Harvard teaching hospitals to small community hospitals covering specialties from cardiac step down to oncology, made her an ideal candidate to work for MEDITECH in a unique role focused on providing support to customers designing and building Patient Care Systems (PCS) standards including assessments, care plans and progress notes. At MEDITECH she was responsible for helping facilities to both understand the rationale behind the EMR ID concept and to create and design standards which transformed paper clinical documentation into an on line model that met the demands of the complex healthcare environments and standardized data in a format that would maximize clinical workflow through the use of technology.

Armed with her combination RN and MEDITECH experience, Danielle applied her expertise in clinical system documentation design as a consultant working with large multi facility organizations and community hospitals. She continues to assist healthcare facilities in a variety of different roles both in systems design, building and in project management as an independent consultant.
